I could never understand why I would lose weight pretty consistently for a few weeks, and then the weight loss would slow down, or I would stop losing weight altogether. This didn't happen just the once, it happened each time that I tried to lose weight. At first I couldn't figure it out. I mean, I was doing all the right things. I would eat more healthily, stay on low calories, and exercise 3 or 4 times a week, but the results always slowed after 4 or 5 weeks.
I suppose like many other people in the same boat, I would think that it was something to do with me. Maybe I am not meant to lose weight, or that particular diet wasn't right for me. I would fill my head with all negative thoughts, and I would put myself down. After all, lots of people manage to get rid of their weight, but I couldn't, so it must have been my fault.
I half heartedly carried on using different diets, but it was always the same old story. In the end I just gave up. What was the point, I had been trying for years, and had never got the success I craved for. All the effort and hard work had just been a waste of time.
It was only when things were getting bad with my weight, I decided to do my own research, and not to blindly follow all the latest diets that came out. After some months I realised the reason why I would always stop losing weight. I had been trying too hard. The biggest problem was that I wanted To get rid of my weight too quickly.
